The short version: Rise keeps your habits, notes, and history on your own device. We don't have an account system and we can't read your data. The only information we collect is anonymous, aggregate analytics that help us improve the app.
Rise is a habit-tracking app published by Anthony Labs LLC ("we", "us", "Anthony Labs"). This policy explains what information the Rise mobile app handles and how. If you have questions, email us at hello@anthonylabs.net.
Everything you create in Rise lives locally on your phone, including:
This data is stored in the app's private storage on your device. We do not have a server that holds your habits, and we cannot see them. There is no sign-up and no account.
Rise lets you export a backup file of your data and restore it later, including on another iPhone. When you export a backup, you choose where it goes (for example, your Files app, iCloud Drive, or another service you pick). Those files are handled by you and the service you send them to — not by Anthony Labs. We never receive a copy.
To understand how Rise is used and where it can be better, we use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data. This may include:
This analytics data does not include the content of your habits — not their names, your motivation notes, or your personal history. We use it only in aggregate to improve the app. You can read about PostHog's practices at posthog.com/privacy.
If you set a reminder, Rise schedules a local notification on your device. These reminders are generated and delivered on your phone; they are not sent through our servers and do not transmit your data to us.
If you join the Rise waitlist on this website, we store the email address you provide so we can notify you when the app launches. That's the only thing we keep, and we use it only for that purpose. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@anthonylabs.net.
Rise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because your habit data lives on your device, you stay in control of it: delete a habit, clear your history, or simply remove the app to erase everything stored locally. To request deletion of a waitlist email, contact us at the address below.
If we make material changes to how Rise handles data, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
