The short version: Rise is provided by Anthony Labs as-is for your personal use. Be reasonable, don't misuse the app, and understand that your habit data lives on your device and is your responsibility to back up.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Rise mobile app and the Rise pages on anthonylabs.net (together, the "Service"), provided by Anthony Labs LLC ("we", "us", "Anthony Labs"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Rise on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. These Terms don't transfer any ownership of the app or its content to you.

The habits, notes, and history you create in Rise are yours. They are stored on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own backups — use the in-app export to save a copy. We are not responsible for data lost because a device is lost, reset, damaged, or because the app is deleted.
Rise is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's terms. Apple is not responsible for the app and is not a party to these Terms, though Apple may benefit from them as a third party where applicable.
The Rise name, logo, design, and software are owned by Anthony Labs and protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms gives you the right to use our branding without our prior written permission.
We may update, change, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result. Rise is a tool to help you track habits — it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anthony Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington.
