Need a hand with Rise? You're in the right place.
Have a question? Email support. Every message gets read and answered — usually within a couple of days.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. Rise doesn't use an account or a server — your habits, notes, and history live only on your device. That also means Rise works fully offline. Rise collects only anonymous, aggregate usage analytics to improve the app, never your habit names or notes. See the privacy policy for the full details.
How do I back up or move my data to a new phone?
Use Export in the app's settings to save a backup file, then keep it somewhere safe (AirDrop it, email it to yourself, or drop it in your files). On a new phone, install Rise and use Import to restore that backup. Because everything is stored locally, this export is the only copy — so it's worth doing before you switch or reset a device.
I deleted the app and lost my habits. Can they be recovered?
Only from a backup file you exported earlier. Since Rise keeps no copy of your data on a server, deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. If you have a backup, reinstall Rise and use Import. If not, unfortunately there's no way to recover it.
Why can I only track three habits?
Because three is enough to change a month. Rise caps you at three priorities on purpose — a short list you'll actually keep beats a long one you won't. If you finish or drop a habit, you can free up a slot for a new one.
My reminders aren't showing up.
Reminders use your phone's local notifications, so first make sure notifications are allowed for Rise: open iOS Settings → Notifications → Rise and confirm they're turned on (and that Focus / Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them). Then check the reminder time set for the habit inside Rise. If it still isn't working, email support with the details and it can be looked into.
Do I need an account or a subscription?
No account and no sign-up — open the app and start. There's nothing to log into. For anything about pricing, the latest is on the Rise home page.
I found a bug or have a feature idea.
Feedback is always welcome. Email hello@anthonylabs.net — if it's a bug, noting your device model and iOS version helps get it reproduced faster.
If your question isn't answered above, reach out to hello@anthonylabs.net and it'll get sorted. When it's about a problem in the app, include what device you're on and what you were doing when it happened — it saves a round-trip.
